Frisco Certified iSWM Silver

The City of Frisco was awarded the silver iSWM designation in August 2016! On September 6th, 2016, the North Central Texas Council of Governments presented the Frisco city council with a plaque and street sign designating their iSWM status.

Some of the iSWM outcomes the City of Frisco has focused on and implemented include:

  • requiring construction controls to limit erosion and the discharge of sediment and other pollutants,
  • designing stormwater and drainage management policies to maintain the characteristics of major creeks and quality of water post development,
  • and intergrading low impact design techniques through the creation of Water Resource and Landscapes Zones.

Congratulations Frisco for all the great work you are doing to improve construction standards, protect and conserve water resources, and mitigate erosion!
